Zelensky: Starlink restrictions hinder Ukraine's fight against drones
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the restrictions applied to Elon Musk's Starlink satellite network are creating serious obstacles to the country's military operations. According to the head of state, these technical difficulties prevent the Ukrainian army from neutralizing Russian-made drones in a timely and effective manner.
According to the reports, the speed and geographical limits applied to the military use of the Starlink system complicate the implementation of strategic defense plans. Kyiv officials state that negotiations are ongoing to remove these barriers.
Reports published in the international press claim that these restrictions were applied directly under the instructions of the White House. Sources speaking to the Reuters agency emphasized that Washington has certain concerns regarding the deployment of Starshield technology.
Ukrainian officials are in close contact with the US administration and company management to lift the speed limits on the military satellite network. Taking this step is expected to positively change the situation on the frontline and significantly increase the effectiveness of air defense systems.
