Zelensky provided information on problems with the Starlink satellite system at the front

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that serious disruptions have been recorded in the operation of the Starlink satellite internet network in various regions of the front. Touching upon this issue during his meeting with US senators, the head of state emphasized that malfunctions in the communication system negatively affect the course of military operations.

Various versions are voiced regarding this problem. Although some sources claim that Ukrainian officials blame the US administration for restricting Starlink's operations, official Washington has categorically rejected these accusations. The US State Department stated that the country's leadership has not intentionally slowed down the system's operation.

Currently, negotiations are underway between the parties regarding the implementation of the Starshield satellite system intended to meet the military needs of the Ukrainian army. Although US officials stated that this special military-purpose system is not currently available to Ukraine, appropriate ways are being sought to ensure the continuity of technological support.

Communication difficulties on the frontline are considered one of the main factors directly affecting the tactical capabilities of the Ukrainian army. The uninterrupted operation of the Starlink system is of critical importance for Ukrainian forces both in terms of controlling unmanned aerial vehicles and organizing coordination between units.
