Zelensky: The US did not warn in advance about missile attacks against Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the US did not issue any warnings to official Kyiv regarding Russian missile strikes targeting Kyiv's energy infrastructure. According to him, the failure to deliver intelligence in a timely manner seriously harms the country's defense potential and the safety of civilians.

Reports published by various international media outlets regarding the matter note that Ukrainian officials are concerned about Washington's limited sharing of intelligence data. Zelensky's advisors believe that the delay in information causes an increase in casualties and more extensive destruction of infrastructure.

On the other hand, some Western sources claim that the US provided only a 60-second warning to Kyiv during ballistic missile attacks. However, official Kyiv emphasizes that this short timeframe is insufficient for making strategic decisions and evacuating the population to safe places.

At a time when the conflict is further escalating, this disagreement regarding the sharing of intelligence has once again brought coordination problems between Ukraine and its allies to the forefront. The Kyiv side states that more prompt and transparent cooperation on security issues is of vital importance.
