Fuel prices in Turkey rise again: Gasoline and diesel become more expensive
Another increase recorded in gasoline - Fuel prices in Turkey have started to rise again. After the abolition of the "Eşel mobil" mechanism, gasoline and diesel prices have been increased once more. This price hike creates an additional financial burden for both drivers and the transport sector.

Changes in price boards at gas stations are particularly noticeable in large cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir. It is reported that a new increase in gasoline and diesel prices has been applied starting from March 10. This has led to a further rise in prices, continuing the consecutive price hikes observed recently.
It should be noted that despite a sharp decrease in crude oil prices in world markets, an increase in gasoline and diesel prices is observed in Turkey. This contradictory situation has led to extensive discussions among experts.
Analysts emphasize that the price increase may be related to tax regulations and differences in exchange rates. The abolition of the "Eşel mobil" system has also created conditions for prices to be directly linked to world markets and the country's domestic tax policy.
The increase in fuel prices not only raises transportation costs but also indirectly increases the prices of consumer goods. This situation strengthens overall inflationary pressures and places an additional financial burden on the public's budget.
Although the government is trying to take various measures to reduce the impact of rising fuel prices on the economy and citizens, instability in world markets and the domestic economic situation complicate this process.
