Innovation in road safety in Slovakia: Thousands of lights installed
The government of Slovakia has begun implementing a new and efficient project aimed at ensuring the safety of drivers operating vehicles at night. Covering more than 250 kilometers of the country's road infrastructure, this initiative involves the installation of thousands of special lighting fixtures along the highways.

Installed along the road sides and lane divider lines, these small illuminated elements are a great help to drivers, especially in dark and foggy weather conditions where visibility is sharply reduced. Thanks to this system, it is possible to determine the direction and outer borders of the road more accurately.
According to experts, this applied technology aims to significantly reduce the number of road traffic accidents. The lights collect solar energy during the day and automatically activate at night to guide drivers.
Slovak officials have stated that if the project yields positive results, it will be expanded to other major highways in the country. The new system creates conditions for drivers to feel more confident on the road and travel safely.
