Tension between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis: Aramco's headquarters targeted

The military conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi rebels has intensified once again. On Wednesday, the intensive mutual attacks carried out by the parties further deteriorated the security environment in the region.

The Iran-backed Houthi group announced that it had launched an attack on the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The group also claimed to have targeted the headquarters of the country's state oil giant, Saudi Aramco.

The scale of the damage inflicted by the attacks on infrastructure facilities is currently being clarified. Although official Riyadh has not yet provided detailed information regarding the incident, it is reported that the country's air defense systems have been activated.

The international community is monitoring these attacks with concern and calling on the parties to de-escalate the tension. The attacks on Aramco, which holds strategic importance in the energy supply chain, are causing serious uncertainty in global oil markets.
