Mass riots in the center of Milan: more than 200 people detained

Protests organized against the rise in the cost of living in the center of Milan, Italy, have resulted in mass clashes. According to the local police department, more than 200 demonstrators were detained and brought to police stations during the riots.

The protests began in response to the high inflation and rising cost of living observed in the country. However, the event, intended to be peaceful, quickly escalated into violent clashes.

Serious incidents also occurred during the riots. According to reports, the chief of one of the city's police commissariats sustained severe bodily injuries. Law enforcement agencies have switched to an enhanced work mode to fully take the situation under control.

Recently, similar to France, discontent related to economic difficulties in Italy has frequently led to street protests. The authorities are continuing investigative measures to identify individuals who violated public order.
