Political crisis in Spain: All PSOE candidates for Palencia have resigned
Serious political tension prevails in Spain's ruling Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). In the Palencia region, all candidates nominated by the party for the parliamentary elections have announced their mass withdrawal from the list.

At the root of the crisis is the central leadership's decision to change the candidate at the top of the list without taking into account the will of the local organization. Local party members considered this step unacceptable and decided to leave the list in protest.
Political experts believe that this event has further deepened the disagreements within the party and the gap between the central leadership and local structures on the eve of the elections. Spanish media characterize this resignation as a severe blow to the PSOE.
Currently, it is not yet clear how the party leadership will fill the vacuum in Palencia and in what direction it will continue its election campaign. The wave of resignations has cast a serious shadow over the party's electoral strategy.
