Massive protests in France: Over half a million people take to the streets
The large-scale wave of protests erupting in France has once again turned the country into a hotbed of tension. According to information released by the CGT trade union, more than 500,000 citizens participated in the rallies held across the country. Thousands of people, especially in Paris and many other cities, demonstrated their dissatisfaction in the streets.

Serious clashes occurred during the demonstrations. In Marseille, protesters attempted to enter the town hall, which led to a confrontation with police forces. To maintain public order, the police were forced to use tear gas.
The situation remains tense in various regions of the country. According to some reports, the protests were accompanied by looting and fires. Law enforcement agencies have confirmed the detention of hundreds of demonstrators.
The French government and local authorities have stepped up security measures to restore public order. The scale and intensity of the protests once again highlight how sensitive the socio-political situation in the country is.
