John Swinney's powerful speech on Scottish independence

Scottish National Party (SNP) leader John Swinney has delivered a resolute and emotional speech on Scottish independence at the party's annual conference. Presenting his vision for the country's future, he declared that the independence movement has entered a new and decisive phase.

During his speech, Swinney emphasized that Scotland needs a governance and development strategy distinct from other parts of the UK, particularly the northern cities of England. Criticizing the policies of British officials, Swinney highlighted the importance of Scotland independently determining its own future.

The SNP leader stated that the campaign for the next independence referendum has officially begun. In his view, the current political environment and public opinion have created highly favorable conditions for Scotland to achieve its independence goals.

Other party representatives attending the conference also supported Swinney's call, expressing confidence that independence would open up broader economic and social prospects for the Scottish people.

The UK government is currently taking a cautious approach to these statements. Nevertheless, this speech by John Swinney once again proves that the issue of independence has returned to the forefront of the Scottish political agenda.
