Scientists bring ancient endangered trees back to life

Scientists have restored centuries-old trees facing the threat of extinction

A significant scientific breakthrough has been achieved in the protection of centuries-old trees facing the threat of disappearance as a result of global climate change and wildfires. Researchers have implemented a revolutionary project with the aim of passing on these giant trees, which have been an integral part of nature for centuries, to future generations.

During the research process, genetic materials were collected from 21 rare monumental oak trees ranging in age from 300 to 800 years. Specialists managed to preserve the genetic codes of these ancient trees and sprout them again in a laboratory environment.

This implemented experiment resulted in high metrics. Based on observations, it was determined that the survival probability of the cultivated saplings reaches 90 percent, which is a very significant achievement for ecological restoration processes.

Experts emphasize that this initiative plays a critical role in reviving not only oak trees, but the forest ecosystem as a whole. The protection of endangered plant species will support nature in regenerating itself in the fight against global warming.

The successful outcome of the project will serve as a roadmap for other endangered tree species in the future. Scientists note that with the large-scale application of this method, the quality of forest cover and biodiversity will increase significantly.
